Flow Cytometry (FACS), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Immunohistochemistry (Frozen Sections) (IHC (fro))

Clone

38
  • Specificity

This antibody recognises the integrin alpha-L subunit, a 180 kDa glycoprotein expressed by all human leucocytes. The molecule is involved in cell-cell adhesion processes and binds to ICAM-1, 2 and 3.

    Purification

    Affinity Chromatography on Protein G.

    Isotype

    IgG2a
  • Application Notes

Flow cytometry: Use 5 μL of 1/50-1/100 diluted antibody to label 10^6 cells in 100 μL. Immunoprecipitation. Immunohistochemistry on frozen sections. Recommended positive control: Human Tonsil.
    Other applications not tested.
Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

    Restrictions

    For Research Use only

    1.0 mg/mL

    Handling Advice

    Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.

    Storage

    4 °C/-20 °C

    Storage Comment

Store the antibody undiluted at 2-8 °C for one month or (in aliquots) at -20 °C for longer.
  • Target

    ITGAL (Integrin alpha-L (ITGAL))

    Alternative Name

    CD11a / ITGAL

    Background

CD11a is a member of the integrin family of cell adhesion molecules. It is a glycoprotein expressed in combination with the CD18 beta chain. The complex is a member of the beta 2 integrin family. These molecules function in cell adhesion and specifically bind to CD54, ICAM2, ICAM3. CD11a is expressed on thymocytes, T and B lymphocytes, granulocytes, monocytes, and macrophages.Synonyms: CD11 antigen-like family member A, Integrin alpha-L, LFA-1, LFA1, Leukocyte adhesion glycoprotein LFA-1 alpha chain, Leukocyte function-associated molecule 1 alpha chain
